Accessibility

Most of the people this site is for are over 65. A site they cannot read is not a site. Last updated August 2026.

What we aim for

We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is a standard, not a marketing claim, and we treat anything that falls short of it as a defect to be fixed.

What that means in practice

  • Text is set larger than is typical, and every text and background pairing on the site is checked for contrast.
  • The whole site works by keyboard, and the focused element is always visibly outlined.
  • Pages are structured with real headings in order, so screen reader users can navigate by heading rather than reading everything.
  • Spanish pages declare Spanish as their language, so screen readers pronounce them correctly rather than reading Spanish with English phonetics.
  • Every form field has a real, visible label, and nothing depends on colour alone to be understood.
  • The site works at 200% zoom, and honours your system setting if you have asked for reduced motion.

Where we know we fall short

We are not aware of specific failures today, but we have not had an independent audit yet, and we would rather say so than imply a clean bill of health we have not earned. If you find something, you will almost certainly be finding it before we do.

Tell us

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it — including if you would simply prefer the information another way. We will get it to you in whatever form works, and we will fix the site.

Email info@vfcaregroup.com. Please tell us the page and what happened, and we will reply.
